Woodside Schooling Day!

This weekend is the Woodside Summer Festival Schooling Show. This is my first real show with my new horse Cleo, and I’m very excited. I got to the show around 1:00 today and went to the office to sign in and get my number! My number is 111 so… hopefully that means all 1st place ribbons, haha.

Then I went to the barn to go see how Cleo was doing. She looked comfortable and adorable in her stall! ☀️💖 It was quite hot today- I looked to see what the temperature was and somehow 79° felt like 100,000,000° and I was melting into the ground!!!

But anyways! My ride was pretty good. Cleo had never been in the ring that we were schooling in today, so I was expecting her to be a little spooky, but she surprised me by being perfect. I’m still getting used to her and we’re learning from each other.

I did two courses today. The first one was pretty good and the second one was a little bit better. So I think it was a good day, and that’s the point. She and I need lots of good experiences together so we can both improve. And I think she’s fantastic.
